Need some input on Bonnaroo from folks that have been in years of late. I wen the first year, had a blast but did tire, both from heat/no sleep and the endlessness of jam bands. This year I am mentally and physically up for the challenge. Roo has also grown leaps and bounds since it's inception, so I am certainly in for a musical treat across the board.
What kind of stuff do folks suggest bringing? Any tips on how to do the fest the best way? Who should LTME go see?
On my must see list are: White Rabbits, Animal Collective, Grizzly Bear, TV on the Radio, Beastie Boys, Justin Townes Earle, Phish, Elvis Perkins in Dearland, Del McCoury Band, Wilco, Andrew Bird and Band of Horses.
There are a few conflicts of note. David Byrne is on during B-Boys, however I saw this Bryne-Eno tour already in '09. Rodrigo y Gabriela are on at the same time as Bon Iver! As if that's not enough, NIN, Yeasayer, MGMT, Ben Harper and moe. all conflict (WTF!). Friday night has a throw down between Girl Talk and Paul Oakenfold, may do half and half there.
Readers, Phil T, Reid and Big Ben are on board. Who else is gonna be ther this year?
